Dear Friends,

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 2011-2012 Syrinx Concert Season. This year we offer an excellent series featuring outstanding musicians performing works by Canadian Composers alongside familiar classical repertoire.

Syrinx’s mandate is to promote Canadian music and musicians. A different Canadian composer will be presented for each concert, providing an opportunity to showcase Canadian music to our audience. Our first concert will present works by both Alexander and Dmitri Levkovich. The series will also include compositions by Ana Sokolovic, William Rowson, Harry Somers and John Burge.

Financial support is essential to producing and promoting concerts with top class professional musicians. Syrinx Concerts is indebted to its loyal audience. Your financial support, through subscription, concert tickets and donations, will help us secure the ongoing expenses for performers, hall rental, recording engineer, promotion and marketing.

Syrinx is a not for profit foundation and your support can be made any time during the season; any donation of $25.00 or more will receive a tax receipt. All of our donors will be listed on the program unless otherwise preferred. Syrinx Concert Series also welcomes support from businesses, through both sponsorship and advertising.

Thank you for being an attentive and appreciative audience at our concerts. The performers remark about the warm and receptive audience and look forward to performing in the series again. Your enthusiastic presence at our concerts has made the Syrinx Sunday Salons very special.
